Words of Wisdom - Necessity is the Mother of Invention

Problem-solving works hand-in-hand with learning life skills. What we’d call “Ancient WORDS OF WISDOM” can ease our navigation. Here are this month’s WORDS OF WISDOM examples.

NECESSITY IS THE MOTHER OF INVENTION

• A child needs supplies for a school project now. The parents have no spare money until payday the following week. The child solicits bottles, cans, and glass from neighbors for recycling money to provide for the purchase of the supplies.
  
  
• After becoming stranded in the woods, a family builds a fire for a smoke signal to be seen and rescued.
  
  
• Following a heart attack at a golf club, several employees took turns maintaining CPR on the victim until the paramedics could arrive.
